2020 VISION PRESENTS : 12hr Shoreditch Day-Night Bank Holiday Special

Sunday 29th May, is a date for the diary. 2020Vision are back in London with an immense line up of live acts and DJs playing at the amazing Village Underground venue. 2020Vision have been at the forefront of the underground electronic music scene for 17 years now, and show no signs of stopping. They’ve continually ploughed their own furrow from their Leeds base, carving out a niche in deep and funky electronic music of the highest quality.

Alongside label boss and famed BacktoBasics resident Ralph Lawson will be recent 2020Vision signing Maya Jane Coles. Someone who has almost instantly shot up on the radar with some truly exceptional sounding music. Her distinct sound, focusing on an interesting deeper vibe, is even being injected into her remixes for the likes of Maceo Plex, Tom Middleton, 4th Measure Men and Marvin Zeyss.
Also joining the line-up is Visionquest and Kompakt favourite Ewan Pearson, Leeds based man of the moment Simon Baker who is on the London leg of his debut solo album tour, Brummie disco-don and remix king Mark E, Wolf+Lamb artist and 2020 London resident Jozif, alongside London residents Andy Whittaker and Danny Raper, plus a special guest.

Halloween is this weekend and it seems like there is a Halloween Party in every corner of Europe. But we’ve tried to filter through the lot to bring you the best ones out there. The main highlight this weekend has to be Movement in Torino. They have several parties taking place throughout the city all weekend, but the ones to watch out for are the Saturday and Sunday nights at Patio Club and PalaOlimpico.

This week’s round up has grown massively since the previous issue of “Weekend Round Up”, showing off some very amazing night in some of the hot spots of the underground club scene over Europe.

A few weeks back we had published an article about a massive weekend in London and once again, the capital is going to be pumping. Friday night will be the starter of things to come with Krafty Kuts headlining a breaks night and Dan Ghenacia and friends partying away in Hewitt Street Car Park.
But it’s Saturday night which is going to kill you and not just for the long hours of partying or the massive line ups. More for the fact that you’ll be completely spoilt for choice as not only will fabric be celebrating its birthday with a massive night, which seems more like a marathon, but there are also the infamous nights; “Wiggle” and “Shake It!”. And that’s without mentioning that Ivan Smagghe and Derrick Carter will also be gracing the London with their presence.

Showing London’s still got a bit of life in her since the crumble of the clubbing scene, with some great nights this weekend….

A number of years ago London was living on the uppers, with great clubs, great nights and wicked music. The last few years has seen a fair deal of of the downers. With the closing of The End, Turnmills, matter, The Cross, The Key, Cargo, AKA and numerous amounts of bars down the drain, London seems to be struggling to hold on to dear life in the underground scene.

But never fear as this weekend seems to be showing a different face with several massive nights kicking off (mainly just south of the river) at Fabric (obviously), Cable, Corsica Studios,  Plastic People and Ewer Street Car Park. Showing that the underground scene isn’t completely dead in London!
