Mateo Murphy…..
His mix sets the pace from the beginning with some very forward thinking tech which very quickly seems to pick up a deep driving bass, relentless in its movement, the set seems to stick to this format staying moderately dirty as it goes. Slight build ups along the way help break things up and jump back into full driving mode before the mix transforms subtly minimal, slowing the pace very slightly but by no means decreasing on the movement factor, as things seem to have picked up more bounce that you feel like your skipping though some kind of acid infused jungle experience with Second Sun – We Own The Night (Safari Edition).
The mix moves on and once again we are back into move driving bass whilst maintaining the bounce, we have entered some very strong Minimal-Techno. Here we experience some typical minimal with bleeps and techy percussion, although in some respects this may all sound a bit cliché, there are still typical build ups and drop which can’t be knocked.
But never fear as this Minimal-Techno delves a bit deeper, again with some lovely movement you would crazy not to feel this. Moving into a Techy bass we feel the mix momentarily easy of the accelerator, fall into a break, freakishly build with some high freqs, then pulse into a deep Techy-Progressive bass movement followed by those freaky high freq builds.
As the mix continues it stays in a darkish realm of deep driving bass which you get very comfortable with and hope that the madness never ends.
Mateo Murphy puts on an intense performance of deep driving music. It’s relentless and far from uninteresting.
