R20: Renaissance Twentieth Anniversary Part One across two locations…In 1992 when Renaissance entered the fray dance music in clubs was a completely different experience. Warehouses, reclaimed Ritzys, motorway arches and fields were the terrain for which acid house surged through the speakers, but Renaissance pioneered a new form of clubbing alongside a brand new sound. Utilising stately homes and adding a regal zest to partying, they proved that clubbing need not be an experience in a dingy environment. And they did so by pushing an exciting new genre, a combination of the epic and ethereal trance and techno coming from mainland Europe with the rolling house grooves from over the Atlantic; Progressive House.

Cocoon hits England for a double date weekend….
This weekend is surely going to be a storm for everyone involved in Cocoon’s visit to England, as well as for Liverpool’s Nation and London’s Fabric.
Cocoon will be making a double date tour this weekend, kicking on Friday at Nation, Circus presents the Cocoon night with a line-up of some of the industry’s most established DJs; Booka Shade, Guy Gerber, Raresh and Onur Ozer. Not to mention Circus top man Yousef and Cocoon legend Sven Väth.
With Circus’ involvement in hosting a Cocoon night with such a line-up, Liverpool’s Nation is going to be electric.
Moving on to Saturday night and Cocoon will be landing at Fabric and how are we pleased to see the legendary Sven Väth gracing Fabric once again. Here Sven will be joined in Room 1 by Turkish DJ Onur Özer, known to music lovers for his offering on the Green and Blue mix series last year, as well as London’s very own Matt Tolfrey, who are surely going to be shaking things up.
Room 2 will be just as momentous with Chile’s Dinky being joined by Italy’s Ilario Alicante and Marcus Fix, who has acclaimed releases on Cécille, Oslo and Cocoon.
And last but by no means least, the intimate Room 3 will be given a run through its paces with Craig Richards and Jozif rocking through the night.
If after this weekend of madness you still feel like you could do with some more, make sure you get yourself down to Cable, London Bridge, for Jaded’s 6th Birthday where you are sure to experience possibly the greatest after party in the Capital. Running Sunday morning from 5am till 2pm the renowned Raymundo Rodriguez will be joined by Bass Culture boss D’Julz, Circo Loco legend’s System of Survival, Rythmatic’s Stathis Lazarides and Wesley Razzy. As well as Tommi & Colette Delalez. A morning not to be missed!
You can guarantee that Guerilla Sounds will be at Fabric for Cocoon and we might even pop in to Jaded for a bit of after hours shenanigans!

Fabric hosts a line-up of extreme talent this Saturday….
Once again Fabric demonstrates why it is still one of the best clubs in the world by host yet another great line-up of extremely talented DJs. Let’s face it Fabric has all the basic ingredients for be one of the best; size, location, ambient, sound system, as do many other clubs. But it’s in the choice of DJs where Fabric really accelerates from all the rest. Obviously the way in which Fabric is made really give a great underground vibe, but it must be said that they continue to host some of the best DJs around.
This Saturday 6th November, Fabric will be hosting WIGGLE, which means Nathan Coles, Eddie Richards and Fabric resident Terry Francis will be shaking Room 2. They will also be joined by what we think will undoubtably be a very special performance from Maetrik. Someone who is on fire at the moment releasing some great tunes and cool remixes left, right and centre. Plus Maetrik is celebrating his birthday, which means he will be dropping a lot of monster tunes and we hope even his latest track, “Snorkel”!
Room 1 is going to be just a jumping as Room 2 with resident Craig Richards and Luciano at the helm accompanied by Ernesto Ferreyra. But if Room 1 and Room 2 end up being packed out, you can also escape to Room 3 for a little more intimacy with Inland Knights, Fred Everything and Da Sunlounge.
