A night with Sasha and Chicago’s Boo Williams
Sasha returns to Fabric…
There are few DJ’s who work on the same level as Sasha. Still revered as much today – as the recent plaudits for the third part of his Involver saga are evidence of – as he always has been, he’s highly respected for the innovation he laid out from the very start of his career; aiming to take his DJ craft to the next level when he first became a highly revered name in the field.
Which is why Fabric are pleased to be able to announce that Sasha will be stepping up to perform in Room One this Saturday, where he’ll also be joined by their stalwart resident Craig Richards.
In Room Two, Efdemin and Marcel Fengler’s mutual desire to constantly push their musical and production boundaries will collide in their techno arrangements. The duo are fresh off the back of the first outing of their DIN project producing music for the ‘EVOLVE’, the third suite of the Berlin State Ballet’s Masse. Guest selector Untold will likely showcase some of his rough and relentlessly inventive creative techno sounds.
Jaunt Music hail from Newcastle and London and they’re set to raise the stakes in Room Three with residents, Blackhall & Bookless and Richard Rowell inviting Chicago hero, Boo Williams to the booth. Boo has been part of the Windy City’s house music entourage since 1981, producing and remixing some of the best tracks of that era such as “Flashback” and citing Glenn Underground as the reason he first got into music production. There’s furry friend themed electronica in support with performances from The 2 Bears and The Mole. Consummate professionals Smokin’ Jo and Ryan O Gorman complete the Terraza lineup. In the Discoteca it’s a blend of classicist techno and its new movements in the form of Derrick May following on from Paul Woolford meeting Untold for an innovative back-to-back session. The Hot Chip DJs make a switch from their usual Terraza to display their harder edged sounds. Jem Haynes back-to-back with Luv*Jam get things heated in another vs set.
